QCity Metro presents ‘Trustworthy’: A Documentary Screening and Community Conversation
Trust in American institutions is declining. That includes trust in the news media.
How did we get Here? And how can we come together and rise above the misinformation and discourse aimed at dividing our communities?
Join QCity Metro for an important documentary screening and community conversation on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at First Baptist Church-West.
We’ll be screening the documentary “Trustworthy,” which chronicles a 5,300-mile bus trip across America to hear the voices of ordinary people.
The documentary’s executive producer, Stephany Zamora, is coming to Charlotte to be a part of our event. After the screening, join Charlotte media organizations for a community conversation.
Refreshments will be served.
About “Trustworthy”:
Media, trust, democracy and hope are the focus of TRUSTWORTHY, a 69-minute documentary now available on Prime Video via Prime Video Direct.
Trustworthy spawned from a summer of Zoom calls and a 5,300-mile bus trip across America. From small towns to urban enclaves, the documentary crew interviewed journalists, professors, other experts and everyday Americans across the political spectrum about how we got to this critical moment, how we can become better news and information consumers, and how we can come together to rise above the misinformation and discourse aimed at dividing our communities.
Trustworthy was made for everyone and has screened in front of audiences young and old, red and blue, metro and rural.
